I Claudius. Ave Caesar. What have the Romans ever done for us? Well, if “us” was Celtic Britons, the Romans invaded at this spot in Richborough with an army 40,000 strong!

On Wednesday this week, UK time, the reconstructed Roman ramparts, an eight metre high gateway and a display of artefacts from the site opened to the public.
