Archers (reg Bw(I)) finished yesterday, for my slowly building Mitanni army. Most of the figures are from the estate of Brent Senior-Partridge. Amongst them are a few of the very first metal, ancient figures I ever bought - the Minifigs Syrian archer, which is based on one of the illustrations in Phil Barker’s book, Ancient Wargaming. I have many more in my spares box, from the days of them being Seleucid levy, irreg D, MI, Bw.

    Gavin Pearson I first encountered the purple primer when I was old enough to venture on my own to the Wellington central library. The first wargaming book I read was Brig. Young and Lt.Col. Lawford’s Charge! I borrowed that from the our local Brooklyn suburban branch library
