DBMM and DBA at Levin - posted by Vince Cholewa, 24 April 2025

We played four games at our Levin meeting yesterday: [April 23]
Chris Blackler (Late Imperial Romans) and David Taylor (Alexandrian Macedonians) played three games of DBA; ending 2-1 to the Romans.
Alastair Duncan travelled from Wellington (thank you so much 😊 🚗

) with his brand new Yi Dynasty Koreans to play my Mitanni. The Yi came complete with a castle, gorgeous baggage and an artillery commander you might recognise. We played DBMM using 450 army points. Allegedly I won. Of my four commands, one was broken and two were disheartened, and my army had lost more than 40% of its morale equivalents. The score, 15-10.

Lovely artsy - love the duck crossing!

DBA: David Taylor (Alexandrian Macedonians) vs Chris Blackler (Late Imperial Romans).

Yi Dynasty Koreans can bring a prodigious artillery park. Alastair Duncan’s is commanded by a familiar historical figure, Gunner Kim.

Part of the Korean artillery park. Yes, there is more!

Alastair Duncan’s gorgeous baggage. “Traffic control” is stopping the cart so the duck and ducklings can cross the road.
