Christmas has come and gone, New Year hangovers have hopefully passed and, with holiday sunburn now fading, it's time to look at what 2026 has in store on the DBMM front.
Latest information I have on what's going on is below so start marking your calendars, planning your armies and organising your painting schedules!
All events are 25-28mm unless otherwise stated. Event organisers will no doubt publish full details for their individuals events in due course
February 7-8 - Greytown Grand Prix, Allen and Phil's multi-period event. Entries now closed.
March 28 - Provisional date for the 1 day DBMM100 Interclub event at the Hutt Club. Contact Neil Williamson for details.
May 23-24 - Valleycon at the Hutt Club. No details yet about any DBMM competition. Will it be a repeat of last years 240AP event or perhaps a return to 450AP, venue permitting?
July 11-12 - Under the Mountain in New Plymouth, incorporating the NZ DBMM Nationals. Contact Keith Trye or Julian Hannan for more details.
August 29-30 - Call To Arms by the Wellington Warlords. Paul Graham is expected to run his fun DBMM event as usual.
September 12 & 26 - Dates for the Hutt Club's Winter Cup. I'm told Bruce Ferguson will be organising.
October 24-25 - The annual Heavy Metal Con hosted by the Pukekohe Club in Auckland over Labour Weekend. I will be circulating details closer to the time.
November 28-29 - Levin Classic. After some scheduling difficulties, Vince has landed on these dates to host this year's "Vive La France" theme.
Hopefully the above is correct but could organisers please correct, clarify or expand as required.
Looks like a bumper year for DBMM action in NZ!
