Following up Josh’s post ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/824840264342234/permalink/1705324449627140/ ) there were also World War 2 and Science Fiction games at the Wellington Warlords today, and this second game of DBMM. Craig Ellison brought Song Sung Blue Chinese and invaded Italy, which was being defended by Alastair Duncan’s Condottieri. This morning’s earthquake near Upper Hutt may have done some damage to Alastair’s built up area, with a tower developing something of a lean. The result? 17-8 win to the musicians, who lost their centre but took both Italian flanks.
DBMM, De Bellis Magistrorum Militum, are wargames rules for ancient and medieval battles from 3000 BC to 1525 AD. The rules are written by Phil Barker and published by the Wargames Research Group Limited Publications. The rules, army lists and books are available from www.wrg.me.uk The purpose of this blog is to promote the rules in New Zealand by sharing information and photos. This blog replicates posts on the DBMM New Zealand Facebook, for those wargamers who do not use FB.
