A few photos from the HeavyMetal Convention played at Pukekohe over Labour Weekend.

Not going to do detailed AARs. A heap of fun with really great opponents for all my games. Three losses and a draw meant I scraped to the bottom of the table and am looking forward to my wooden spoon arriving soon.

My MIR took on Wayne Watt's Marians and were snotted. Followed by Al Duncan's Early Germans. I killed 3 or 4 of his cavalry with Artillary fire and then hit his line with Blade S killing 7 warband. So a good start until Al had a turn then the game was over in 2 hours!

Vikings on Day 2 vs Paul Graham's late Romans and an honourable draw. Then Al Yaxley's Norse Irish with a combined 50 or so elements flank marching. In a couple of photos you can see my Viking command of 31 elements pushing back the Norse Irish Flank March. To late though to save the the rest of the army.

Awesome weekend, well organised competition and great atmosphere!
