There were two games of DBMM at the Hutt Club yesterday, and another five or six of World War 2, science fiction and fantasy. Here are pics from Wayne Watts (Thessalians from the Early Hoplite Greek list) vs Paul Graham (Polybian Roman). It ended with a draw, 14-11 with the Greeks a little ahead.
The other DBMM game was me using medieval Polish vs John van den Hoeven (Serbian Empire). Battle report here https://www.facebook.com/groups/824840264342234/posts/2121548524671395/

Wayne and Paul near the start of their game. Raymond Dick is pondering. |

Roman friends. I think these might be mercenary thorakitai. |

Roman hastati and princeps. I think triarii are in the background. As the game played out, the triarii proved to be, in Kiwi parlance, “staunch as”. |

Some of the very many Greek light horse and light infantry (all LH(O) and mostly Ps(I)). |
