Raphia Refight Round 2...Pics from earlier this week in snowy Hamilton ON. Top-action on the Ptolemaic left, where the Cav and Kn (O) are clashing. Left-the centres approach.   It looks amazing. I've often thought Raphia would be fun. And surprisingly balanced in AP. I remember once working out the armies (at one element to five hundred, so double ratio) and getting so close to the same AP each (about 500AP I think) that tweaking (was it a Bw or a Hd etc) I was able to balance them exactly.

    John Edmundson Alex has a wonderful collection of figs and he worked a long while to finish those magnificent blocks. It’s a pleasure to play with them and we’re having a blast. My problem is, I am more of a Dark Ages type guy...set up the shieldwall…
