Rules question about fortified BUA -l posted by Vince Cholewa, 30 june 2019
A few questions about fortified built up areas. First, a BUA more than 800p across must have PF. BUAf is defined as “BUA if optionally allowed PF.” Does that mean a BUA more than 800p across must be BUAf? If so, is 800p the maximum size for a BUA in lists that do not include BUAf? Secondly, if an army most does not include fortifications, can a BUA have TF or PF? That is, do the descriptions of fortified BUA (p.11) allow fortifications additional to those in army lists? Your opinions most welcome. https://www.facebook.com/groups/824840264342234/permalink/1231153247044265/
Chu Kwok WahWhen the BUA is more than 800p should be fortified. If the army list not included BUAf, just can choose smaller size.
Che Tibbythis is my reading too. if it's bigger than 800p it *must* have fortifications. if the BUA is smaller than 800p it can have TF, but cannot have PF unless specified by the list - BUAf.
Neil WilliamsonI agree with the above. Plus if you look at page 64 (or pg 2 in an army book) it clarifies things more. Any BUA can have TF (if it is a defender). PF can only be part of a BUAf. And any large BUA must have PF (from pg 11)
