Late Romans vs Swedish Leidang - posted by Julian Hannam, 9 July 2026

Been getting my Late Romans (Magnus Maximus 383AD West) guys ready for “under the mountain” in July. Opposite me is Karl Muskee’s Swedish Leidang 1168. His BwO caused me surprising problems in an earlier game, this time I faced them off against by invading ArtF and BdO legionnaires. Even bagged a KnI to shooting, very satisfying. Still the dice have kept him in the game with some helpful 6:1s. Excuse the unpainted Roman Cav, I assure you they are getting ‘the treatment’ shortly!

On another Note, looking forward to seeing the lucky ones at New Plymouth at Matariki Weekend [Friday July 10 is the public holiday, Under the Mountain is July 11-12].

Alastair Duncan they are all appropriate figures you trouble maker! Although some well placed Astartes with Boltguns would do nicely against the AxO horde.
